I'm clearing out some stuff, including books. I'd prefer to give these to people who are coming over here in the near future. If getting a book to you would require mailing it, you're not likely to get one (unless we've been doing this book thing already).

Here they are - if you're interested, please list by preference so I can spread them around as much as possible ("first preference X, second preference Y etc.). Special preference given to [livejournal.com profile] nhw, [livejournal.com profile] varina8, [livejournal.com profile] butterbee, and [livejournal.com profile] thewronghands.

Islam and the West: Norman Daniel
Underground America: Narratives of undocumented lives (about illegal immigrants) - Ed Peter Orner
Loeb Classical Library Plato I (Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, etc)- holding for [livejournal.com profile] beluosus
The Laughing Corpse - Laurell Hamilton
Mary Renault - The Last of the Wine
Swanfeldt Crossword Puzzle Dictionary (looks old)

Javascript Cookbook - Cohen (1997? - still does the trick)
ASP.net in a Nutshell - 2002
XML by Example (Que) - 2000
The Big Switch - Rewiring the World from Edison to Google - NIcholas Carr
The Five Love Languages - Gary CHapman
Javascript Application Cookbook (O'Reilly) - 1999?
SQL: The Complete Reference (great for brushing up right before an interview) - Groff and Weinberg (1999?)

And also we've got two Godzilla Video tapes which we will never be able to watch here because we have neither VCR nor TV. Just let me know ...

I would be happy to hold onto them for you.

Are you going to have any free time for dinner or what have you? I was just wondering yesterday when I'd actually manage to see you when you're here ...

I will reserve it for you. :-) We can either go out or you can come over for tacos (if you can eat those).

You're a sweetie. "The Last of the Wine" caught my eye, but I'm happy to defer to someone closer by if that's easier.

PS Did the CDs make it okay?
(Forgive me if we talked about this earlier. December is a bit of blur due to the school prep.)

Yes they did show up. Thank you so much!

If anyone grabs it I'll hand it over, but if it's still here in a week, I'll mail it to you.

Aww, thank you! I don't have any of those particularly that I want and haven't read, but I really do appreciate your caring gesture.

Well, we'll have to see how your Kage Baker library is doing, I have two more titles to move on (short stories) after I've finished with them).
