After Christmas, the ... desert

Instant Messenger says not one of my coworkers is in today. What then am I doing here? Am I going to spend the whole day going through my inbox, deleting old messages ... possibly going to far as to empty my Yahoo inbox? Good God. If only I had the car I could meet my brother for lunch ... I know I'll have the time.

In other news, I won a contest from Scarecrow which I entered for the heck of it while checking on the availability of Neverwhere in their rentals department.

Oh, look, according to an email I just got site stability is pure crap today. Looks like I'll have some work to do after all.

It's looking good right now ... don't forget you could also walk around the corner to the bookstore and look at the latest copy of Frommers. The Let's Go Rome book might also be a good choice. If you get a city specific book you will often find recommendations that don't make it in the other books.

:) I got the Let's Go Rome at the Library last night.

I also have the Frommer's Italy and yesterday checked out the $70/day Frommer's guide at B & N. I have a Rome 2001 guide for Frommer's that I got a few years ago...and it looks like stuff hasn't changed much by comparison. Trying to decide if it's worth it to bump up in price to be near the older areas.
