Yes, I worked out today, even though it gave me no joy. 25 minutes, go me - rowing plus elliptical plus biking. It's just dull. I miss Pilates.

Meannwhile, for all of my atheist friends out there, I present this work of genius, linked to by [livejournal.com profile] lolliepopp:

I'm feeling a new user icon coming on here. And it's comforting to think the website in question is telling evangelical kids to just leave me alone, though with any luck I'll confuse them with my joie de vivre anyway.

The original is Flash, and the goat's quotes change as you click on it. This quote was my favorite.

Also, I found a place on Red Lion street that does a Thai food lunch box for £3.50, and I'm a very happy girl.

ROFL! "Tell a parent or pastor right away!"
It's good to know they fear us!

Though I start to wonder if they're not allowed to witness to people who don't believe in god, does that mean they're only allowed to attempt to convert people who are a different religion?

The site does appear to encourage them to go after Hindus.

lols! I'm guessing it's an american site which makes it extra funny as there aren't that many Hindus in the states, perhaps that's why they're considered "safe".

Can you put the link to the site?

Prof. Giraffenstein is so ridiculous I'm tempted to say the whole thing's a parody, but it seems "serious"....

Don't be too sure. They're pretty common here in the Northwest - computer world - and I'm bet the same is true in the North Carolina Research Triangle.

Or, as the Indian reporter on the Daily Show put it, "I'm the good brown!"

It's still nothing compared to London.

Compared to the large Indian and Pakistani communities here in Britain there's really not very many in the Northwest, at least not that I remember.

That's taking the "straw man" a bit too far.

Next card in the series: Emos are sad and wrong!

How can that be better than a "kanga-jew?" It's just frightening!

What's really funny about this in a lot of ways, though, is something I was thinking about this morning, how Evangelical "culture" is really a lost cause because it has to compete with regular American pop culture.

The Kanga-jew is a perfect example, because it's an idiotic attempt by this hammerhead to "explain" the existence of a creature every American is familiar with in light of its complete absence from the Bible. Same thing with even mentioning "Velociraptor" or "plate tectonics". Once they try and move away from their own playing field (ie, That's what the Bible says), they loose.
