Wow, they're doing a Guy Maddin movie festival at the BFI in July. I am chuffed. Furthermore, I'm about to make plans for about a third of July in one fell movie ticket buying sweep. SCORE!

Really, this is about what I'm NOT going to see rather than what I will see. So I'll skip the Dracula movie, Tales from the Gimli Hospital, and Coward Bend The Knee, and then try to see everything else. The only real hiccup is that the Chap Olympics is on the Saturday that I could hit about three movies at once, but there's no way I'm skipping that THIS year.

Also, I need a recommendation for not too expensive accommodations in York ... ideas?

PS: Slept great last night, shall have to try going to bed before 11 on a more regular basis.

I was in York in 11/2004...wish I could remember where it was exactly because it was pretty inexpensive and very central (but I found a pic I took from the room (http://www.inthebelljar.com/ukweb/pages/DSCN8710.htm)). I might try to look that up tomorrow.

As you know, definitely want to see The Saddest Music in the World, probably on the Sunday 13th - shall we get seats together? (By which I mean, if you can book me a ticket I'll pay you back.) The Chap Olympics website seems stuck on 2007, is it definitely happening this year? (Not that I should commit to much that weekend, it's my sister's 30th birthday on the Friday.)
