Two floors of grumpy testers
Mar. 16th, 2004 10:37 amWe never got our build yesterday. This means not only did we not get to test yesterday, but that we wasted the entire day waiting to test ... being told constantly that it would be here any moment. My officemate said that it was a criminal waste of time.
Today, I discover that the code that I'm supposed to test ... isn't actually in the build. SORRY! Please continue wasting time for two more days. When we are running out of time at the end of the project, you'll get the blame AND we'll expect you to stay late.
This is how people in test become crotchety old farts at the age of 26. Every tester I know has a highly developed sense of irony - it's the only way to keep your sanity in the face of this kind of fuckwittage.
