Srsly? I'm used to people using 'oy, you cunt' as an insult quite regularly. I often refer to people as being 'cuntish' if I think they're being more annoying than 'wanker' merits. That said, I myself am a poor example, as I'm well-known for being foul-mouthed - my time as a sex worker may have helped, because getting paid to use Rude Words every day sure does ingrain them (although I mostly got into the habit at an international school, which was a place full of diplomats' kids who'd have put a bunch of Liverpool dockers to shame).
Chekov: chacun a son gout, I guess! I really enjoy Chekov, but then I'm inordinately fond of The Russian Canon anyway - probably the area of 'classic literature' I take the most interest in. I find Chekov quite moving, but then I've always enjoyed pieces which are about almost unbearably minute expressions of emotion. No idea why.
